We have a washing machine inside our kitchen, but in Italy you have to dry your clothes the "old school" way of hanging them outside on a line. The first time I hung my my clothes outside was a disaster. The clothes never dried and they actually collected some frost because overnight the temperatures had dropped down into the lower 30s.
