Katie Couric was here on Tuesday. I guess everyday the Today Show on NBC is doing a special on Italy for the upcoming Olympics in Torino. I was in Italian class when we found out that she was going to be here. Most Italians don't really know who she is, but we made it out to be a big deal so that our teacher would let us out early from Italian class. It was 2 pm our time and 8 am in New York. The camera crew set everything up on the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). There were tons of American students crowded around. A lot of people had signs and stuff, so I guess they found out about it earlier. I could care less about meeting Katie Couric, I just wanted to be on TV. Some girls in the crowd were like, "Omg, she just touched my hand!" lol
